Employees of Shuklaphanta Municipality Office agitate as the office provides shelter to India returnees

Employees have been agitated after the citizens who returned from India were placed in the meeting hall of Shuklaphanta Municipality Office in Kanchanpur. Employees were agitated on Sunday, stating that the risk of Coronavirus has increased as 11 people were placed in the municipality assembly hall. The employees refused to provide services to the service recipients as they are scared of the virus spreading.

Chief Administrative Officer of Shuklaphanta Municipality, Bishan Singh Thapa, said that the service recipients and staffs were insecure as returnees from India were kept without getting checked for the virus. But Jagat Bahadur Singh, spokesperson of the municipality, said that the citizens were kept in the meeting hall of the municipality dues to an emergency as they reached the city at 12:30 pm on Saturday night. He said that proper management will be done after checking everyone today.
