Cases of Coronavirus close to 5,000 in Far-West
Dhangadhi: The number of Coronavirus cases in the far-western region has reached close to 5,000.
Tests conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu, Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj and Seti Provincial Hospital on Monday confirmed infection in 64 people and the number of infected people has reached close to 5,000.
The number of infected people in the Far-West has reached 4,804, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. So far, the highest number of 1,197 people in Kailali have been confirmed to be infected.
Similarly, 782 people in Doti, 710 in Achham and 619 in Bajura have been infected, the ministry said.
Five hundred and sixty seven, people from Kanchanpur, 309 from Dadeldhura, 296 from Baitadi, 277 from Bajhang and 39 from Darchula have been confirmed infected. 3248 people have been discharged and returned home, while nine have died.
