Indian SSB enters Kanchanpur with weapons, returns after locals protest
Kanchanpur: Indian SSB has re-entered Kanchanpur with weapons. This is the third time that Indian SSB has entered Nepal and this time in the Belauri Municipality-8, Pachui area of the district.
They entered Nepal on Thursday evening, claiming the 1,200-meter Nepali territory, including Pillar No. 38, on the basis of the strip map. A team including the Deputy Commander of the Indian SSB had entered the border to obstruct the postal road construction work.
The locals had protested saying that the Indian side was repeatedly obstructing the road construction work. On behalf of Nepal, a team including Pallava Raj Bhatt, coordinator of the Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and Kanchanpur International Border Concern Group reached there. The enraged locals all united and the SSB team returned from there.
