Investigation on rape accused Ward chairman concluded in Kanchanpur, police in process of submitting report

Dhangadhi: According to the police, the investigation on Ram Nath, Ward Chairman of Bhim Dutta Municipality Ward No. 9 has been concluded.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Amar Bahadur Thapa said that they are preparing to submit the report to the Public Prosecutor's Office and that it would be submitted to the government prosecutor's office by today or tomorrow.

A woman who had been doing business in Brahmadeva had filed a complaint accusing Ward Chairman Ram Nath of rape. He had been drinking alcohol at the victim's shop since last Thursday afternoon where he was arrested after trying to abuse her at 8:15 pm.

The police have completed their investigation into the case of forced labor registered against Nath. It is alleged that the ward chairman hugged her and asked for a 'kiss' after drinking alcohol.
