1,266 people infected with Coronavirus discharged on Friday

1,266 people infected with Coronavirus have been discharged from various hospitals and local level quarantines in Far-West. Narendra Karki, chief of the Health Division stated in a regular press briefing that 1,267 people were discharged on Friday evening. Only one person was discharged from Seti Provincial Hospital on Friday, he said.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, 356 people from Kanchanpur, 252 from Baitadi, 188 from Dadeldhura, 164 from Achham, 157 from Doti and 101 from Kailali have been discharged from the hospitals and quarantines. Similarly, 34 infected people have been discharged from Bajhang, 13 from Darchula, and two from Bajura. They were hospitalized for 14 days and were discharged after showing no signs of Coronavirus, the ministry said. Some of them were discharged after recovering.

Presently, 80 infected people of the province are undergoing treatment at various hospitals. According to the Ministry of Social Development, 39 people are being treated at Tikapur Hospital, 18 at Mahakali Hospital, 10 at Achham Hospital, 6 at Seti Provincial Hospital, 3 at Malakheti Hospital, and 101 each at Doti and Bajura Hospitals.

In Far-West, 2,556 infected people are in their house and in various quarantines. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of infected people in the Far West has reached 3,911.
