Weather in Kailali and Kanchanpur: Heavy rainfall expected in some areas

It has been raining in most parts of Kailali and Kanchanpur since last night. According to the Meteorological Department, it is due to monsoon winds across the country. According to the Division, there is complete cloud cover in the far western region and surrounding areas with thunderstorms, lightning and rainfall in a few places.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the far-western region this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is expected in most parts of the country at night with normal cloud cover. Heavy rain is also expected in one or two places in the far west overnight.

The department has also requested to take necessary precautions as the flow of water in the rivers of Far-West will increase, soil erosion will occur in the hilly areas, landslides will affect the road and air transport and inundation will take place in places where there is no proper drainage.
