Locusts spotted in Baitadi

Locusts were spotted in different areas of Patan in the district. Swarms of locusts entered Nepal on Saturday. Mahesh Awasthi, chief of the agriculture branch of Patan Municipality said, “Locusts were spotted in Thanta of Patan Municipality Ward No. 10 on Tuesday. We went there after the farmers informed us. The crops are less likely to be damaged as there are few locusts in Baitadi at the moment. Earlier, locusts were also spotted in Kailali and Dadeldhura.
