More than 1000 sacks of rotten rice distributed as humanitarian aid

An investigation committee formed under the coordination of Ward No. 18’s Chairman Murari Adhikari, inspected the warehouse of Ward No. 4 yesterday and found rotten rice in 887 sacks weighing 15 kgs.

According to the investigation committee, its value is more than five lakhs 85 thousand. Similarly, 269 sacks of rotten rice was found in Ward No. 4 today.

The committee was formed after the locals returned the relief rice distributed by Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Corporation in different wards of Dhangadhi.

Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Corporation had given a tender of Rs 2 crore 61 Lakhs to Thakur Trade Link for the purchase of the relief items.
