२०७६ चैत्र २७, ०५:४२ आरजु

60 Nepalese working in Mumbai, India have been stuck there during the lockdown. Jagdish Bhandari from Melauli Municipality Ward no 4, who works at a hotel in Borivali, said, "Almost 15 of us are sharing a small room and have been stuck here for the past 22 days. Our boss is somehow still providing some food. However, he is pressuring us to return to Nepal. Therefore, I called the Nepal Embassy situated in New Delhi but no one answered the call.” Similarly, Sandeep Chand of Melauli Municipality, who is also stuck in Mumbai, said that he is scared of dying due to lack of food. Most of the Nepalese workers have been asked to leave their jobs and return to Nepal as soon as the lockdown ends in India. Feeling stranded, many of them have requested to be brought back to Nepal and kept in quarantine.
