Urmila Bista Karki’s husband and in-laws released on bail

A case was filed against four individuals under the homicide chapter of the penal code on the charge of abetting suicide of Urmila Bista Karki.

According to the District Court, Kailali her husband Ramesh Karki, sister-in laws Mandhari Karki, Laxmi Karki Bohara and Arsu Karki were released on bail after paying Rs.25 thousand . Urmila's parents had filed a case against the four, demanding a fair investigation of the incident.

Bista had gone to cut the grass on Magh 16th and did not return until the next morning. Therefore, her family went and reported her missing at the Area Police Office, Malakethi but a few days later, she was found dead.
