Tikapur’s Hikmat Thapa Receives ‘Best CEO Leadership Award 2026’ in Africa

Tikapur: Hikmat Thapa, a native of Tikapur, Kailali, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Best CEO Leadership Award 2026’ in Africa. He received the award at the 2026 edition of the Africa Brand Awards held in Lagos, Africa.

Thapa serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited, a subsidiary of the Dangote Group. The award recognizes his leadership capabilities and contributions to the industrial and business sectors.

The Africa Brand Awards have been held annually in Lagos for the past 14 years, honoring outstanding African brands, industries, business entities, and leaders across various categories. This year, individuals and organizations were recognized in more than 25 categories.

Thapa has been associated with the Dangote Group for the past 20 years. During this period, he has led various industries and projects, including those involving noodles, sugar, vegetable oil, tomato paste, rice milling, seasonings, and heavy vehicles.

He has more than 35 years of experience in establishing and operating industrial projects across Nepal, India, and Africa. Thapa has played a significant role in establishing the reputation of Nepali leadership within Africa’s industrial sector.

This international honor has elevated the profile of Thapa, as well as that of Tikapur and Nepal, to new heights.
