Landslide Damage in Purchoudi Prompts Demand for Immediate On-Site Inspection

Dhangadhi: Landslides have caused major damage to land in the Talladehi and Desali areas of Purchoudi Municipality-9, Baitadi.

Locals said the land was destroyed and some parts were submerged following a landslide on the night of Bhadra 22. As the landslide has weakened the land, locals have demanded an immediate on-site inspection. They have called for the exact causes of the landslide and the extent of the damage to be assessed, along with necessary precautions and preventive measures.

Locals have also requested the ward chairman to conduct an immediate on-site inspection and take initiatives for investigating and managing the damage caused by the landslide.

With the possibility of further damage in the affected area, locals say the concerned authorities should conduct timely inspections and take necessary measures to reduce the risk.
