Gaura and Teej Special Cultural Program-2083 Successfully Concludes

Dhangadhi: The Gaura and Teej Special Cultural Program-2083, organized by Deuda Geet Pratishthan Punjab Ludhiana to promote original art and culture, has been completed.

The program was chaired by the organization’s chairman Lokesh Babu and hosted by social worker and young activist Yubaraj Baraili. On the special initiative of invited artist Surendra Sangam Dotyal (Badda), the program collected Rs 32,000, which was deposited into the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to support flood victims affected by the floods in Nepal.

Although the program had been scheduled about a month before the flood, the organizer said some individuals attempted to create pressure and obstruction to stop the event. However, the program was successfully completed with the objective of continuing the event and using the collected amount to support flood victims, according to the organizer.

The organizers said the organization’s office bearers, culture enthusiasts, supporters and donors, including founders Bikash Saud and Narayan Bhatt and Lokdeuda singer Khuman Singh, played an important role in making the program successful.
