Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim Parliamentary Party to Support Rasuwa Flood Victims
Dhangadhi: The Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim Provincial Parliamentary Party has announced financial assistance as humanitarian aid and relief for citizens affected by the Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.
Parliamentary party leader and outgoing Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has announced that he will contribute his one-month salary. Similarly, other provincial assembly members from the party have decided to contribute an amount equivalent to 10 days of their salary to support the flood victims.
According to the parliamentary party, a total of Rs. 360,833 will be collected through the contributions. The collected amount will be provided to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
The parliamentary party said the decision was taken to support relief and rescue efforts for citizens affected by the Bhotekoshi floods. It also expressed its commitment to prioritizing humanitarian assistance by standing with affected citizens during natural disasters.
