12-Year-Old Girl Dies of Snake Bite in Baitadi

Baitadi: A 12-year-old girl has died after being bitten by a snake in Baitadi.

Sushmita Chand, daughter of Lokendra Bahadur Chand of Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-4, was seriously injured after being bitten by a snake in the yard while playing at home at around 6 pm on Thursday.

She was taken to Dadeldhura Hospital for treatment but died during treatment, according to Police Inspector Suraj Singh, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Baitadi.

The deceased Sushmita was studying at Tank Tilakpur Secondary School in Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-4.
