Mechi-Mahakali rescue yatra saves 120 street-dependent individuals

Mahendranagar: Two street-dependent individuals have been rescued from Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur under the Mechi-Mahakali National Rescue Yatra, 2083. The rescue team saved a woman and a man.

According to Urbin Sapkota, a member of Manav Sewa Ashram, the rescued individuals have been taken to Dhangadhi Manav Sewa Ashram. He stated, “Today we are rescuing in Dhangadhi, and 120 people have been rescued during the journey that began from Mechi on Baisakh 28.”

Manav Sewa Ashram had launched the Mechi Pulba Yatra from Kakarbhitta with the aim of ensuring that no one is forced to live a difficult life on the streets. The journey is scheduled to reach Banke on Sunday via Kanchanpur and Kailali.

Ani Choing Dolma Foundation founder and singer Ani Choing Dolma, along with the organizing team of Manav Sewa Ashram, has arrived in the area for the rescue अभियान. Sapkota said the team is on a nationwide अभियान to rescue street-dependent individuals.

He added that Manav Sewa Ashram operates 33 centers across different parts of the country. Singer Ani Choing Dolma has arranged financial support for the अभियान, while Manav Sewa Ashram is managing administrative responsibilities.
