Dhangadhi Mayor Gopal Hamal reaffirms independence, denies supporting any political party

Dhangadhi: Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Gopal Hamal has clarified that he is not affiliated with or supporting any political party. He dismissed recent media reports claiming otherwise as false.

On his Facebook page, Mayor Hamal stated, “I would like to inform all residents of the city that there is no truth in the news reports published by ‘Patrika Nepal’ and other media outlets linking me to the House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21, 2082.”

Earlier, Mayor Hamal had also emphasized that he does not support any political party or candidate. He affirmed that he intends to perform his responsibilities impartially, as he was elected by the voters of Dhangadhi for a five-year term.

Hamal reiterated that he will continue to serve independently during the Falgun 21 election period and beyond, and urged the public not to be misled by baseless or misleading news.
