Dhangadhi: A two-day training program on land administration and geo-information systems has commenced in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City, targeting local-level employees from Kailali and Kanchanpur districts.

A total of 43 participants, including representatives and staff from various local levels of Kailali and Kanchanpur, are attending the training. The program aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of land-related work at the local level.

The training was inaugurated under the chief hospitality of Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Prof. Dr. Kumar Innam. It is organized by the Department of Land Management and Records in collaboration with Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City.

Mayor Gopal Hamal highlighted the importance of the training in equipping employees with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement the government’s plan of transferring land-related rights to the local level.

Minister Innam emphasized that such training is crucial for the effective exercise of land-related rights at the local level. He noted that if other municipalities follow the proactive example set by Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City, land administration would become more efficient and streamlined.

The minister also stated that the ministry is working to establish a system to provide land-related services directly from the ward level, further facilitating access for local residents.
