Kathmandu: The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has unveiled its election manifesto ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives elections. Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli presented the manifesto and outlined the party’s goals during a debate program titled ‘Country First,’ organized by the UML’s Central Election Mobilization Committee.

The manifesto emphasizes the importance of securing victory to achieve the party’s objectives under the slogan, ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis: National Aspirations are Our Destination.’ It highlights the continuation and completion of good governance, development, employment, and social justice initiatives that were initiated by the previous government but remain unfinished.

The UML manifesto includes 11 immediate tasks, five core programs, and 25 resolutions. Chairman Oli asserted that the party will lead the country’s transformation based on past experiences, with a commitment to build rather than destroy or create unrest.

He also affirmed the UML’s longstanding stance in support of national independence and sovereignty, stressing that the party will avoid populist tactics or political stunts.
