Sudurpaschim province secures top position in national performance evaluation

Dhangadhi: Sudurpaschim Province has ranked first in the performance evaluation results released by the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission.

According to the results made public by the commission on Thursday, Sudurpaschim secured the highest position among the country’s seven provinces with a total score of 45.70 points.

Koshi Province ranked second with 44.29 points. Bagmati Province scored 42.46 points, Gandaki Province 37.91, Lumbini Province 34.71, Karnali Province 32.26, and Madhesh Province recorded the lowest score at 27.28, according to the commission.

The commission stated that the performance evaluation of provinces was conducted based on various indicators, including administrative capacity, financial discipline, plan implementation, good governance and service delivery.

Sudurpaschim Province’s top ranking is viewed as a positive outcome of the provincial government’s performance, resource management and administrative reforms.
