Achham: Deepak Saund, CPN (UML) candidate for the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21, returned from the Rishidaha area expressing excitement and gratitude after receiving overwhelming support from local residents. Saund said he was moved by the love, trust, and encouragement shown during his door-to-door campaign.

Entering Rishidaha on the evening of Falgun 25, Saund met directly with residents to understand their concerns, challenges, and expectations. Locals voiced dissatisfaction with past leaders, stating that previous assurances were often unfulfilled, and emphasized that a change in leadership is now necessary.

Despite being a newcomer in politics, Saund has earned recognition for his contributions to education, sports, and social service in Achham district. Residents highlighted his efforts in constructing school buildings, developing sports infrastructure, and distributing relief to conflict- and earthquake-affected families. Many expressed that his development-oriented and youth-focused approach makes him a suitable candidate for future leadership. During the campaign, the message “Vote for the young candidate Deepak Saund” resonated strongly among village communities.

Saund reaffirmed his commitment to prioritize overall development in Achham, focusing on employment, education, health, and road infrastructure. He stated that his action plan would be guided by the suggestions gathered through direct dialogue with residents.

During the campaign, Saund visited the home of Manbire Budha, father of the late Dal Bahadur Budha, a respected UML leader in Rishidaha, to seek his blessings. Budha expressed full support, stating, “The time is now for the youth; we need leadership that delivers on the people’s expectations.”

Alongside the door-to-door campaign, Saund has been collecting and documenting local issues, including drinking water and road network problems, committing to remain active in addressing these concerns whether elected or not.
