Over 15,000 personnel to be deployed at polling stations across the Far west
Attaria: A total of 15,393 employees will be deployed at 2,199 polling stations across the Far West to conduct the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. Up to seven employees will be assigned to each polling station.
According to the Provincial Election Office, Kailali, employees from the federal, provincial and municipal levels, as well as from government-owned offices, banks and financial institutions, will be mobilized for election duties. Office Chief Premraj Bhatta said arrangements are being made to deploy up to seven individuals at each polling station, including one election officer, one assistant election officer, one assistant employee and a volunteer. He added that teachers will also be deployed if there is a shortage of personnel.
On a district-wise basis, 4,487 employees will be mobilized in Kailali, which has five constituencies, 2,520 in Kanchanpur with three constituencies, and 1,491 in Achham, which has two constituencies. Similarly, 1,260 employees are being deployed in Doti, which has one constituency, 101 in Darchula, 987 in Dadeldhura, 826 in Bajura, 1,323 in Bajhang and 1,498 in Baitadi. In total, arrangements have been made for 1,176 polling centers and 2,199 polling stations across the nine districts of the province.
The province has a total of 1,716,660 voters, including 864,423 women and 852,219 men. A total of 46,020 voters were added during the recent voter list collection.
