Balen covers 12 constituencies in two days during far west election tour, engages party cadres
Dhangadhi: Senior leader of the National Independent Party (NISP), Balen, visited 12 constituencies in the Far West Province over two days as part of his campaign for the House of Representatives election. On Tuesday, he covered eight constituencies in Kailali and Kanchanpur, while on Wednesday, he visited four hilly district constituencies.
On Wednesday, Balen toured Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Darchula, and Bajhang, each of which has one constituency. In the morning, he arrived in Dadeldhura and met party leaders, cadres, and well-wishers at the party office in Tufan Danda.
Tara Prasad Joshi, NISP leader and House of Representatives candidate from Dadeldhura, said that Balen’s visit focused on personal interaction with cadres and supporters rather than formal programs. Joshi added that Balen’s presence boosted the enthusiasm and morale of party members and supporters.
After a brief stay in Dadeldhura, Balen proceeded to Patan in Baitadi, where he greeted supporters by ringing the party’s election symbol, ‘Ghanti,’ at the local office. He then visited the party office in Gokuleshwor, Darchula, and by around 8 pm, reached Bungal in Bajhang. In Bajhang, he discussed election strategies with NISP candidates for the upcoming elections on Falgun 21 and greeted supporters with the election symbol at several locations.
Despite challenging weather conditions, Balen’s extensive tour of the four hilly districts in a single day drew admiration for his commitment. He did not deliver formal addresses but shared a heartfelt message on social media after reaching Dadeldhura, writing, “Sudur ab dur chhan, jhikai jhikai maya timlai.”
Balen has been actively campaigning since holding his first election announcement program on Magh 5. After registering his nomination from Jhapa on Magh 6, he intensified meetings across eastern districts, completing that tour by Magh 10. He then embarked on a western Nepal tour on Magh 12, traveling via air to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu, and on Magh 13, he visited the Thakur Baba Temple in Bardiya before returning to the Far West.
