Dr. Tara Joshi becomes first provincial assembly member of Rashtriya Swatantra Party
Dhangadhi: The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) has gained representation in the Far Western Provincial Assembly following the entry of Dr. Tara Joshi, an independent provincial assembly member elected from Dadeldhura, into the party.
Dr. Joshi joined the RSWP through the Ujjala Nepal Party under the patronage of Kulman Ghising. With the announcement of the merger between the RSWP and the Ujjala Nepal Party on Monday evening, he became the first provincial assembly member representing the RSWP.
Dr. Joshi, who also served as the coordinator of the negotiation team formed for the unification of the RSWP and the Ujjala Nepal Party, has a long history of involvement in left-wing politics.
He previously led the UML in Dadeldhura and was later elected as a provincial assembly member as an independent candidate after joining the Unified Socialist Party. He has now entered the RSWP through the Ujjala Nepal Party, becoming the first provincial MP of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party.
