Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has called on leaders and activists who left the party at different times to return and rejoin the organization.

The party has urged those who left the Congress to become independents or who joined other political parties and are currently serving as candidates, proposers, or campaigners to come back. The decision was taken by a meeting of the Central Working Committee, according to Krishna Prasad Poudel, Chief Secretary of the party’s central office.

A circular issued to lower-level party committees states that individuals who left the party in the past for various reasons and later became active in other political parties have been warmly invited to rejoin the Congress. The meeting also decided to grant active membership to those who return and to assign them appropriate responsibilities.

In addition, the Nepali Congress has called on individuals active in various professions, businesses, and fields to play an active role within the party. The party stated that, considering the current situation, it has decided to move forward by holding special dialogues and fostering collaboration with intellectuals and professionals for the benefit of the party, democracy, and the country. It has also appealed to individuals committed to serving the nation and the people, and who uphold democratic values and beliefs, to join the Congress.
