Chief Minister Shah lays foundation stone for four key infrastructure projects in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Sudurpaschim Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah inaugurated four development projects in his constituency, covering Lamkichuha Municipality and Janaki Rural Municipality, on Thursday morning.

Chief Minister Shah laid the foundation stones for projects allocated budgets in the fiscal year 2081/82 but which had not yet commenced. KAS-API-Shripur JV has been awarded a contract worth Rs 69.21 crore for the construction of the Tikapur-Dudejhari road, connecting Tikapur, Janaki, and Lamkichuha municipalities. Under this project, three and a half kilometers of road, including drainage systems, will be blacktopped, with a construction deadline of Poush 24, 2083.

While inaugurating the Tikapur-Dudejhari road project, Chief Minister Shah urged local representatives and the public to actively monitor the construction and directed contractors to complete the work within the stipulated period. Janaki Rural Municipality Chairman Ganesh Chaudhary noted that roads connecting multiple municipalities fall under the provincial government’s responsibility and assured that once built, the roads will be free from dust and mud.

Additionally, Chief Minister Shah launched the Keshar Marg project connecting Tikapur via Rani Jamara Hydro-Jagatpur from the East-West Highway. He also laid the foundation stone for a 2.6-kilometer blacktop road from Lamkichuha Municipality to Rajkanda, a tourist area in Mohanyal Rural Municipality. The road, costing Rs 45.693 million, has been awarded to AC-NNS-HB JV Surkhet and is scheduled for completion by 25 Poush 2083.

Shah further inaugurated the Lamkichuha Ring Road project, connecting the border of Janaki Rural Municipality to the Seti Highway via Amaura Thapapur Chauri Chakawani. Tulsi-Nirajan JV Tikapur has been contracted to blacktop 2.7 kilometers of the road with drains at a cost of Rs 43.664 million, with completion targeted by Ashar 25, 2083.
