Kailali customs office achieves 25.93 percent of annual revenue target in four months
Dhangadhi: The Kailali Customs Office in Dhangadhi has collected 25.93 percent of its annual revenue target within the first four months of the current fiscal year. The office, which aims to collect Rs 9.71 billion 15 million this fiscal year, recorded revenue collection of Rs 2.51 billion 83 million from Shrawan to Kartik.
According to Information Officer Khim Prasad Aryal, the office has not met its monthly revenue targets in any of the four months. In Shrawan, only Rs 578 million, or 80.72 percent of the target of Rs 716 million 100 thousand, was collected. In Bhadra, revenue reached just Rs 537 million, or 72.36 percent of the target of Rs 742 million 21 thousand.
Similarly, the office collected Rs 677.8 million in Asoj, achieving 88.29 percent of the target of Rs 767.7 million. In Kartik, revenue collection was Rs 725.4 million, or 85.67 percent of the target of Rs 846.7 million.
The office had also failed to meet its revenue target in the previous fiscal year 2081/82. Out of the annual target of Rs 11.16 billion 26 million, only Rs 8.66 billion 98 million was collected, which amounted to 77.67 percent of the target.
