Illegal goods worth Rs 675,000 seized in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Police in Kanchanpur have seized illegal goods valued at Rs 675,476, brought from India while evading customs duties.

The contraband was recovered from multiple locations across the district, including Bhasi, Ward 5, near Shantiniketan, Ward 10, Jimuwa, Sukasal, and Baibaha in Beldandi Rural Municipality.

Recovered items include bidis, lentils, coriander, panipuri, suit pieces, saris, various utensils, cosmetics, and a motorcycle. A patrol team deployed by the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, along with subordinate police units, took control of all goods after completing the necessary procedures.

Police have confirmed that further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
