Three absconding Tikapur residents arrested in drug-related case
Dhangadhi: Three absconding residents of Tikapur, Kailali, have been arrested in connection with a drug-related case.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Shankar Khatri, 28, of Tikapur Municipality-1, Block No. 7, who was sentenced to one month and ten days in prison; Umesh Chaudhary, 24, of Tikapur Municipality-6, Katanpur, who was sentenced to six days in prison; and Samir Chaudhary, 20, of Tikapur Municipality-3, who was sentenced to two months and nine days in prison along with a fine of Rs. 25,000 in the same case.
According to police, the three individuals had been sentenced by the District Court Kailali on different dates and were absconding. They were arrested on Monday by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Tikapur, Kailali.
