Provincial Ayurveda Hospital Kailali to procure medicines directly from Singha Durbar Vaidya Khana

Dhangadhi: Provincial Ayurveda Hospital Dhangadhi will purchase Ayurvedic medicines directly from Singha Durbar Vaidya Khana through a government-to-government (G2G) agreement.

This marks the first time the hospital will procure medicines from Singha Durbar Vaidya Khana via the G2G process for free distribution, according to Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Ramkameshwar Thakur. He added that a second phase is planned to purchase medicines for pharmacies.

Dr. Thakur stated that the G2G procurement aims to strengthen institutions like Singha Durbar Vaidya Khana, a national heritage, while ensuring accessible, high-quality medicines for citizens. He emphasized that this process will provide transparency in the hospital’s procurement and guarantee patients receive quality medicines.

The agreement, signed on Asoj 16 between the Singha Durbar Vaidya Khana Development Committee and Provincial Ayurveda Hospital, Kailali, ensures that government funds are used efficiently and the procurement process remains free from manipulation.
