Kailali district administration resumes national identity card services

Dhangadhi: The District Administration Office Kailali has resumed national identity card services following a temporary closure due to the arson attack during the Genji movement.

Administrative Officer Shivraj Joshi stated that the national identity card service, which began as a trial on Tuesday, has been fully operational since Wednesday.

Joshi added that the office had prepared to resume services immediately after Dashain and is now making arrangements to restart passport services as well. Following the Genji movement, the office had provided alternative arrangements for citizenship services.

Important documents had been destroyed by fire during the arson attack, but the administration is now proceeding with reconstruction while ensuring essential services are operational.
