Young woman dies from snake bite in Doti
Dhangadhi: A 22-year-old woman has died during treatment following a snake bite in Doti district.
Mangala Parki of Mudegaun, Shikhar Municipality-2, was bitten by a snake on her head, hand, and neck while cutting grass on the afternoon of Asoj 4. Her condition was reported late due to complications and mental instability.
About two weeks later, on Asoj 18, her mother, Munuli BK, took Parki to Mahakali Medical in Rajpur for treatment. After an examination revealed a severe loss of blood, she was admitted to the District Hospital, Doti on the same day. According to Dr. Sujit Mandal, Chief Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Parki suffered from severe blood loss and kidney complications.
As her condition worsened, she was referred to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi on Tuesday. Seti Provincial Hospital confirmed that Parki passed away at 4:50 am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment. The deceased is survived by her husband and a two-year-old son.
