Two arrested with heroin-like substance in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Police have arrested two individuals with drugs in Kailali.

A police team from the Area Police Office, Tikapur, detained 30-year-old Hikmat Thakulla of Padampur while he was walking in the Satti Bazaar area of Tikapur Municipality-7. During a search, police recovered 730 milligrams of a powdery substance resembling heroin from his possession.

Similarly, acting on confidential information, police arrested 25-year-old Gobinda Gharti Magar of Bakmara, Lamkichuha Municipality-6. He was found carrying 540 milligrams of a powdery substance resembling heroin during a security check.

Both individuals are in police custody for further investigation and legal action, the District Police Office informed.
