PM Oli holds bilateral talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Quang in China

China: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of Nepal and Prime Minister Pham Minh Quang of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam held a bilateral meeting in Tianjin, China, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders discussed various aspects of cultural, diplomatic, and economic cooperation between Nepal and Vietnam.

Recalling the recent visit of Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan to Nepal, Prime Minister Quang invited PM Oli to visit Vietnam. In response, PM Oli expressed Nepal’s solidarity with Vietnam’s struggle for independence and noted that the country’s rapid progress serves as an inspiration for all.

PM Oli also informed that Nepal is set to be upgraded to a developing country next year and called for investment in the energy sector, emphasizing its potential for substantial returns. He extended an invitation to Prime Minister Quang to visit Nepal in the future.

The meeting was attended by ministers, parliamentarians, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs accompanying the visiting delegation.
