Kanchanpur declared fully immunized and sustainable district

Kanchanpur: Kanchanpur has officially been declared a fully immunized and sustainable district, becoming the third district in Sudurpaschim Province to achieve this milestone after Doti and Bajura.
According to the Health Office, Kanchanpur, the district earned the fully immunized status after ensuring that all children between the ages of 15 and 59 months received 13 types of vaccines as per the national immunization schedule. A total of 23,093 children have been fully vaccinated, and 229 children who had missed regular vaccinations have also been covered.
The announcement was made on Thursday during a program organized by the District Vaccination Coordination Committee. Sudurpaschim Province's Minister for Social Development, Meghraj Khadka, declared Kanchanpur a fully immunized district and emphasized that no child should be left behind in the vaccination campaign.
Durga Dutta Bohara, coordinator of the District Vaccination Coordination Committee, confirmed that the declaration follows the completion of the national immunization targets in the designated age group.
Nine Health Workers Recognized for Outstanding Contribution
As part of the program, the Vaccination Coordination Committee honored nine outstanding health workers for their significant contributions to the vaccination campaign. Each was awarded a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of Rs 5,000.
Those recognized include Gomati Kubar Dhami, Madhavi Saud, Dileshwari Awasthi, Devaki Awasthi, Mahesh Tiwari, Binita Bohara, Kalpana Thapa, Sita Kumari Rana, and Rupa Khatri, representing various municipalities across the district.
The Health Office expressed its commitment to continuing efforts to maintain and strengthen the district's immunization coverage.
