Narendra Bhatta honored with provincial talent award for contribution to language and literature

Dhangadhi: Narendra Bhatta, a distinguished writer and educator from Far West Province, has been conferred with the Provincial Talent Award in the field of language and literature.
A resident of Bhattagaun, Patan Municipality-4, Baitadi, Bhatta currently teaches Nepali at Aishwarya Vidya Niketan. His acclaimed poetry collection Shaheed Putra, published in 2056 BS, has earned recognition in the Nepali literary community. In addition to his poetry and ghazals, Bhatta regularly contributes contemporary articles to both national and local publications. In recent years, he has also been active in literary criticism and research-based writing.
A Dual Path in Education and Literature
Bhatta holds an M.A. and B.Ed. in Nepali and is currently pursuing a PhD. His dedication to both teaching and creative writing has established him as a respected figure in the literary landscape of the region.

Leadership in Literary Organizations


Bhatta has held several leadership roles in the literary community. He is a former secretary of Sup Sahitya Samaj, Dhangadhi, a founding co-secretary of Vidyarthi Sahitya Pratishthan at Kailali Multiple Campus, and currently serves as the president of the Nepali Writers’ Association, Sudurpaschim Province.
Recognition of Creative Excellence
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation honored Bhatta with this year’s Provincial Talent Award (Language-Literature Category) for his outstanding service and creative contributions to Nepali language and literature.
He continues to be regarded as a respected figure at the local level, known for his work as a writer, teacher, and literary activist.
