Far West province assembly to begin budget discussions today

Dhangadhi: The Far West Province Assembly is set to begin deliberations on the provincial government's budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83, nearly three weeks after it was tabled.
Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari informed that the Provincial Assembly will convene at 4 p.m. today to initiate discussions on the budget. On Asad 1, Minister for Economic Affairs Bahadur Singh Thapa had presented a budget proposal amounting to Rs 33.476 billion for the fiscal year.
The assembly is scheduled to hold budget discussions over three consecutive days, with plans to pass the budget by Asad 17. The decision to pass the budget within this timeframe was taken during a recent meeting of the Business Management Advisory Committee.
