Hemp and cannabis-based clothing store opens in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: A new store specializing in clothing and products made from hemp and cannabis has opened in Dhangadhi, aiming to promote organic, indigenous, and eco-friendly goods.
Suraj Hemps and Cloth Koseli Ghar, located near Rubus Chowk on Dhangadhi Main Road, is the brainchild of Suraj Bista, a local entrepreneur from Dhangadhi-3. The store was officially inaugurated on Sunday by Ward No. 4 Chairman Buddhi Bahadur Khadka and Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry Secretary Suresh Pandey.

Bista shared that the shop offers a variety of hemp and cannabis-based items, including honey, oil, soap, tea leaves, chowmein, slippers, shoes, biscuits, bags, hats, socks, ready-made clothing, thana cloth, and linen. He emphasized that the products are skillfully crafted, organic, and available at reasonable prices.
The store also serves as the authorized dealer of Ganesh Hemp, a Kathmandu-based brand, and features apparel suited for both summer and winter seasons.
During the launch, Ward Chairman Khadka highlighted the potential for such initiatives to boost local entrepreneurship. Secretary Pandey also expressed his best wishes for the business and assured that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to provide necessary support.
