Baitadi: The evaluation of educational quality in 129 secondary schools in Baitadi participating in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has commenced.

A total of 21 experts, including retired joint secretaries, deputy secretaries, former District Education Officers, and professors with extensive experience in the education sector, have been deployed for this initiative. According to Hari Prasad Niraula, Director of the Educational Quality Testing Center, the expert team has been conducting field assessments since Wednesday.

The findings from Baitadi will contribute to a national-level report on the educational quality of secondary schools. Dr. Chandra Prasad Luintel, one of the experts, stated that this program aims to evaluate whether the educational quality aligns with the level of investment made. Each school will be evaluated over four days to ensure a thorough assessment.

Narendra Prasad Awasthi, Head of the Education Development and Coordination Unit in Baitadi, outlined the classification criteria for schools based on their scores. Schools scoring below 40% will be labeled as weak, those scoring between 40-70% as average, 70-90% as moderate, and over 90% as excellent. This classification aims to provide a clear framework for identifying and improving educational standards in the region.
