Dhangadhi: A 65-year-old speech-impaired man, identified by his distinctive trident and drum, has been rescued from People Chautaraka in Dhangadhi. The rescue was carried out by Manav Seva Ashram Kailali in collaboration with the Community Police Service Center Hasanpur and the Dhangadhi sub-metropolis city police.

Last year, under the direct supervision of psychiatrist Dr. Prabhat Sapkota at Nirsag Hospital, the man was provided with necessary treatment after his initial rescue. Although his nephew accommodated him for a few months, he ultimately returned to living on the streets. Known for his unpredictable behavior, he often threw stones at vehicles. Ashram activist Adarsh Dhakal confirmed that the man is now safely housed in an ashram.
