Pancheshwar health post introduces menstrual leave for female employees
Baitadi: Pancheshwar Health Post in Baitadi has implemented menstrual leave for its female employees. The decision was made during a meeting of the Health Institution Operation and Management Committee, according to Suresh Sarki, the head of the health center.
Sarki explained that female employees often need rest during their menstrual periods, and as they are not granted leave even on Saturdays, this initiative was introduced to accommodate their health needs. The decision was prompted by the recognition that some women experience issues like stomach pain during menstruation and require time to recuperate.
Out of the eight health workers and staff at Pancheshwar Health Post, six are women, and the new policy aims to provide them with necessary support during this time.
