Two injured by electric shock in Bajura
while repairing power line Bajura - Two people were injured due to an electric shock in Badimalika Municipality-6, Jadanga, Bajura.
The incident occurred while they were climbing a pole to repair the wires of the Kordhali Gad Small Hydropower Project. The injured have been identified as 29-year-old Rupak Baduwal of Badimalika-6 Kordha and 28-year-old Rajendra Nath of Badimalika-4 Rila, according to Police Inspector Dilip Giri.
Baduwal’s condition is reported to be critical, and he is being referred to the District Hospital Bajura for further treatment. Nath is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.
It is believed that the electric shock occurred when they climbed a pole that was connected to the central transmission line, which was energized around 8:30 in the morning. Local authorities are investigating the incident, emphasizing the risks involved in such repair work without adequate precautions.
