Dhangadhi: Leaders from the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and Nagarik Unmukti Party held a joint press conference at the Parliament Secretariat on Saturday, urging Chief Minister Dirgha Bahadur Sodari to facilitate discussions on government formation and the budget.

The coalition leaders requested Chief Minister Sodari to resign, stating that his government, now in the minority, is unable to secure a majority or make significant decisions. Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Leader and former Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah emphasized the need for Sodari's resignation to enable the formation of a new government and proper budget discussions.

The press conference featured prominent leaders including UML Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Santosh Thapa (Sharma), Nagarik Unmukti Party Parliamentary Party Leader Dhanshyam Chaudhary, Former Minister Rameshwar Chaudhary, UML State Assembly Member Bir Bahadur Thapa, and Congress members Dambari Mahara and Tulsi Devkota. Following the withdrawal of CPN-UML's support, the Sodari-led government has fallen into the minority.

The leaders criticized Sodari for attempting to pass the budget through fraudulent means and warned against any efforts to push the budget without proper majority support. The budget, submitted on Ashar 1, remains undiscussed due to the political deadlock.
