Real Estate Business on the Rise in Far West Nepal

Dhangadhi— The real estate market in Nepal's Far West region has experienced significant growth.

Compared to the previous year 2079, real estate transactions have increased by the end of June 2080, and this upward trend continued until December 2080. The number of real estate registrations rose by 19.86% during this period, contrasting sharply with a 38.95% decrease in the same period last year.

Additionally, revenue from real estate registration increased by 3.35%, reaching NPR 313.6 million. This is a notable improvement, considering there was a 59.42% decline in revenue collection during the same period last year.

However, the number of approved house/building maps decreased by 27.73% during the review period. The data from Nepal Rastra Bank shows an increase in real estate registrations and revenue across all districts in the Far West, except for Kailali.

Kailali district saw the highest number of approved house/building maps, with 527 approvals. In contrast, no house or building maps were approved in Baitadi and Doti districts. This varied performance across districts highlights the uneven development and investment patterns in the region's real estate market.
