Fire Incidents Engulf Three Residences in Kanchanpur on the Same Day
Kanchanpur: On a fateful day, three separate fire incidents ravaged homes and sheds across Kanchanpur.
The first blaze erupted in the kitchen and shed of Hira Nath's mud house situated in Pashupati Tol, Dodhara Chandni Municipality-1, on Sunday morning. The inferno resulted in an estimated loss of around 5 lakhs, including food, clothing, and other belongings stored within the premises. Prompt intervention from local authorities, police, and community members helped contain the fire.
In a parallel incident, flames engulfed a cowshed constructed of Bhagarathi Bista wood in Kichahi, Krishnapur Municipality-4. Tragically, one goat perished in the blaze, and property valued at approximately 60,000 was destroyed. The concerted efforts of locals, police, and the fire brigade were pivotal in extinguishing the fire and minimizing further damage.
Simultaneously, a house located on the first floor in Chandan Basti, Beldadi Rural Municipality-2, owned by Dale Damai, fell victim to fire, resulting in the destruction of property worth approximately 70,000. Fortunately, no human or animal casualties were reported. Police Inspector Puskarraj Pant, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, confirmed that investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
