Mohansingh of Kailali Initiates Hunger Strike, Presents Five Demands to Government
Dhangadhi: Mohansingh Tamatta, a resident of Kailali, is embarking on a hunger strike to voice five pressing demands to the Nepalese government. Hailing from 3 Phalebisauna, Mohanyal Rural Municipality, Mohansingh Tamatta announced his intention to commence the hunger strike during a press conference held yesterday (Saturday).
Tamatta, also known for his role as the Shiv Mandirkarta of Mohan Mahakali-Mechi Shuddha Ahar Abhiyan Mukti Deep Nageshwari, revealed his plan to initiate the hunger strike outside the parliament building in Kathmandu, commencing from the 2nd of Baisakh, 2081. He stated his intent to consume only water throughout the strike period.
The five demands articulated by Tamatta include the formal recognition of a pure diet religion in Nepal, the abolition of the sacrificial system, the establishment of reserved cow pastures, the erection of a border wall along Nepalese territory, and the implementation of better management for individuals with mental disorders.
Expressing his determination to exert pressure on the government, Tamatta expressed confidence in the government's ability to address his demands. Notably, he recently undertook a pilgrimage to the Pashupati temple, following a journey from Bauniya.
