Fatal Accident in Baitadi: Man Killed by Falling Stone

Baitadi: Tragedy struck in Baitadi as one person lost his life after being struck by a stone. Premsingh Dhami, aged 54 and a resident of Sigas Rural Municipality-5, Saunsaladi, met his untimely demise when he was hit by a stone that fell from above while engaged in sand extraction.

Dhami sustained severe injuries from the falling stone while extracting sand from a mine for the construction of the Saunsaladi irrigation canal in the village. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, and despite efforts, Dhami succumbed to his injuries later that same night, as confirmed by the District Police Office Baitadi.

The tragic accident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers associated with such activities, highlighting the need for enhanced safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
