Cancer Screening Health Camp Completed for 283 Individuals in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis
Dhangadhi: The Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city in Kailali has successfully concluded a cancer screening health camp.
On Saturday, the sub-metropolis organized a one-day camp at the Phulwari health post in Ward No. 19. Yogesh Awasthi, the Head of the Health Branch of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis, stated that the event was conducted in collaboration with the Shusheel Koirala Prakhar Cancer Hospital in Khajura, Nepalgunj.
Awasthi reported that a total of 247 women and 36 men received free services at the cancer screening camp. Among the attendees, 14 women were identified as suspected cervical cancer patients, while 18 women exhibited cervical wounds, and three women were diagnosed with a prolapsed uterus.
Additionally, two individuals were identified as fully suspected cancer patients during the camp, and three previous cancer patients also availed themselves of services. Awasthi emphasized that counseling sessions were provided to clients during the camp, encouraging them to adopt lifestyle practices aimed at cancer prevention.
