Shree Air Flight Faces Weather Challenges: Diverts to Nepalgunj from Dhangadhi Route
Dhangadhi: A Shree Air flight originating from Kathmandu and destined for Dhangadhi encountered adverse weather conditions, prompting an unexpected diversion to Nepalgunj. The aircraft, which departed Kathmandu at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, circled in the sky for two and a half hours before the decision to reroute was made due to persistent unfavorable weather in Dhangadhi.
Passengers on board have expressed dissatisfaction with the prolonged airborne delay caused by the weather conditions. The flight eventually landed safely at Nepalgunj as the weather situation in Dhangadhi failed to improve, creating challenges for the safe landing of aircraft in the region.
Officials at the Dhangadhi airport office confirmed that, besides the diverted Shree Air flight, another flight operated by Buddha Air successfully landed at the Dhangadhi airport. The adverse weather conditions are reported to be affecting the landing operations of aircraft in Dhangadhi, leading to operational adjustments for ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.
