Traffic Mishap in Doti Leaves Woman Injured: Motorcycle Collision Results in Hospitalization

Doti: A distressing incident unfolded in Doti as a collision between a car and a motorcycle left a woman injured on Monday morning. The accident occurred in Shikhar Municipality-8 Gopaghat, leading to the motorcycle losing control and striking a pedestrian identified as 72-year-old Jaguli Devi Balair from Shikhar Municipality-8 Chankuda.

According to Police Inspector Sitaram Bisht of District Police Office Doti, the mishap transpired when a motorcycle with the registration Sudurpaschim Province 01001 P10, traveling towards Dadeldhura, collided with an auto bearing the registration Sudurpaschim Province 01001 H 417, approaching from the opposite direction.

The injured pedestrian, Balayar, sustained injuries to her head and right leg in the aftermath of the collision. Although initial treatment was administered at Sujung Hospital in Rajpur, her condition necessitated further medical attention, prompting authorities to transfer her to Dhangadhi for ongoing care.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and heightened vigilance to prevent unfortunate accidents on the roadways.
